This device works in a similar
way to the hand-held scanner, but in this case it reads a series of bars on a
label, to identify an item or product in a shop.
It gives a fast and reliable service
to both the salesperson and the customer.
By pointing at the bars on the item the price is displayed.
These bars are made up of black and white
stripes of different thickness to form a code number to identify the product.
