This is mostly used by banks on
bank cheques. The numbers printed at the
bottom of the cheque have got magnetic particles on them. These can be easily read in a faster way.
This input device is very
reliable since even if someone scribbles over the numbers with a pen the data
can still be read and entered into the computer for processing.
