Multimedia Applications

Multimedia is a new technology that has been introduced in recent years. It is a technology that deals with the combination of text, graphics, sound, video and animation. This has been very useful in Education and training.  

Most educational programs are multimedia programs. With a multimedia program the user can stop, pause, restart and replay at will.  
There are many programs including:
  • Encyclopaedias such as Microsoft Encarta, EduSoft (Everyday mathematics and English Discovery, The World of Nature.)
  • KAWA digital books
  • Games like the Silent Steel
  • Educational programs like Science Advantage 2000 (a powerful Biology, Physics and Chemistry CD package)
